A former boss at now defunct portal firm The Digital Property Group is to join the UK’s largest conveyancing software firm as its new Chief Financial Officer.
Michael Cress worked at TDPG, which operated Primelocation.com and FindaProperty.com until they were sold to Zoopla in 2012, and has now joined ULS Technology, which operates two of the UK’s leading conveyancing software platforms; eConveyancer and DigitalMove.
The firm sold its specialist service for brokers, Conveyancing Alliance, in November 2020 to law firm O’Neill Patient for £27.3 million.
Incumbent CFO John Williams is stepping down after 11 years at the firm during which he is credited with growing the business and taking it successfully to an AIM listing 2014.
Cress arrives from baby clothing platform MyFirstYears.com where he is currently Finance Director. Prior to that he worked at fashion website Threads Styling and before that shopping comparison website Kelkoo.
He started his career with Schroder & Co after graduating from Harvard University with an Economics degree.
ULS CEO Jesper With-Fogstrup (pictured), adds: “On behalf of the company, I am delighted to welcome Michael to the team.
He is a strong commercial and strategic CFO with digital experience in growth and also more established businesses.
“I look forward to working with him as we continue to deliver our growth strategy scaling our strong and trusted eConveyancer brand and accelerating DigitalMove – making the home moving and ownership experience better for everyone.
A further announcement confirming the exact dates when Michael and John will join and leave the Board respectively will be given in due course.
